Dear friends,
You are invited to a presentation and discussion on the future world economy, to take place on Saturday, January 25th, at the Cook St. Village Activity Centre, 380 Cook St.
The theme of the talk is, “The Future World Economy: Creating a Compelling Vision of a Prosperous World”.
The talk is sponsored by the Bahá’í Community of Victoria, as the 4th of 7 presentations to highlight the oneness of the human family. It’s hoped that the Bahá’í community, like-minded friends, and members of the public will come together to learn about and discuss topical issues in the context of Bahá’í thought on the subject.
Some questions to be explored: How do we create a sustainable economy that will nurture human dignity, honour the environment, uphold human rights, and create lasting prosperity for all of humanity? And how can this be done in a peaceful way that builds unity?
Don Brown has over 40 years of experience in organization systems consulting in the public, private and non-profit sectors. He has worked in Canada, the US, Jamaica and Israel and is currently focusing on sustainable, community-based, cooperative development. He is a member of the Sooke Bahá’í community.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the talk will begin at 7:00 p.m., followed by discussion and refreshments.
All are welcome! Please pass this invitation along to all those who may be interested in the topic, and join us for a great evening of thought-provoking ideas, discussion & friendship.
