{"id":164,"date":"2012-09-05T13:40:04","date_gmt":"2012-09-05T21:40:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/victoriamultifaith.com\/?p=164"},"modified":"2012-09-05T13:40:04","modified_gmt":"2012-09-05T21:40:04","slug":"a-luminous-journey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/victoriamultifaith.com\/?p=164","title":{"rendered":"A LUMINOUS JOURNEY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There will be an event hosted by the <strong>Baha&#8217;i Community of Victoria<\/strong> to celebrate the centenary anniversary of the visit of <strong>Abdu\u2019l-Bah\u00e1<\/strong> to Canada.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abdu\u2019l-Baha<\/strong> was the son of <strong>Baha\u2019u\u2019llah, founder of the Baha\u2019i Faith.<\/strong>\u00a0 He came to America at the invitation of the American Baha\u2019is.\u00a0 He was 67 years old and in frail health, having lived most of his life in exile and as a prisoner.\u00a0\u00a0 He had, before coming, received seven invitations to speak.\u00a0 Beyond these engagements an amazing number of opportunities emerged, affecting thousands of people.\u00a0 This performance will share some of the stories of those who met him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Date: The event will be held on Sunday, 9 September, 2012<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Place: Alix Goolden Hall &#8211; 907 Pandora Avenue.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Time: There will be a reception at 3:00pm, followed\u00a0at 4:00pm\u00a0by\u00a0 a performance.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You are all warmly invited to attend this joyful event, and to share this invitation with others.
